Priyanshu Panwar from Tiyunkhar Village Selected for Uttarakhand U-19 Cricket Team

Rudraprayag: Priyanshu Panwar, a resident of Tiyunkhar village in the Jakholi block, has been selected for Uttarakhand’s Under-19 cricket team. Priyanshu will be representing the state in the prestigious domestic tournament, Vinoo Mankad Trophy, organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The tournament is set to begin on October 4 in Hyderabad. This achievement has brought excitement to sports enthusiasts in the region.

Priyanshu’s father, Sain Singh Panwar, is a retired Indian Army officer and currently works in the Revenue Department. His mother, Lakshmi Panwar, is an entrepreneur. District Cricket Association Rudraprayag President Kamlesh Jamloki and Secretary Arun Tiwari shared that many young players from the district have been selected for various state-level teams ranging from Under-14 to Under-23 in recent years. This development signifies positive growth for sports in the region.

Local leaders, including MLA Bharat Singh Chaudhary, District Panchayat President Amardeyi Shah, BJP District President Mahavir Panwar, and Block Head Pradeep Thapliyal, congratulated Priyanshu on his selection. They expressed that Priyanshu’s success would inspire other young athletes in the district to pursue their goals with determination.
