CM Dhami’s Anti-Corruption Drive Gains Momentum: 5 Arrested

In a major push against corruption, Uttarakhand Vigilance has arrested five government officials in the past week, including a Chief Treasury Officer and a Revenue Department Nazir, under bribery charges. The crackdown reflects Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s ongoing mission for a corruption-free administration, which is now gaining nationwide attention.

On Thursday, the hashtag #DhamiCleanUpCorruption trended prominently on social media platform X, with thousands of users voicing support for the campaign. Many commented that Uttarakhand is finally moving towards the clean and transparent governance citizens have long aspired for.

Over 150 Arrested in 3 Years
Social media users highlighted that under CM Dhami’s leadership, the state government has effectively implemented a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. Over the past three years, more than 150 corrupt individuals have been jailed. The government’s strict anti-cheating law in recruitment exams has also strengthened public trust in the system.

Additionally, a top business news portal recently ranked Uttarakhand second only to Goa among small states in terms of financial health. This success is attributed to strong fiscal discipline, transparent governance, and development-oriented policies. Earlier, NITI Aayog’s 2023–24 Sustainable Development Ranking had already placed Uttarakhand at the top.
