In Haridwar’s Kharkhari area, Drug Inspector Anita Bharti conducted a surprise inspection at several medical stores on Tuesday. The inspection was carried out following multiple complaints regarding the sale of medicines without prescription and the use of open or loose drugs.
During the raid, several irregularities were found. Some medical store operators were found selling medicines in open conditions, which is a clear violation of drug safety regulations. Action was taken on the spot, and strict warnings were issued to the concerned shopkeepers.
Anita Bharti stated that the department had been receiving continuous complaints, prompting the inspection. Further action will be taken if violations are repeated.
