Mild tremors were felt in Uttarkashi district on Tuesday afternoon. According to the National Center for Seismology and Earthquake App, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in the forests of Jakhol village under Mori tehsil. It registered a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale with a depth of five kilometers.
Despite the seismic activity, no tremors were reported by the police wireless system or tehsil control room in any other part of the district. Authorities have confirmed that no casualties or property damage occurred, and the situation remains under control. The epicenter was located at 31.22°N latitude and 78.22°E longitude.
