PM Modi to Meet UK PM Keir Starmer During Official Britain Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to leave for his fourth official visit to the United Kingdom today. During the visit from July 23–24, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with newly elected British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. A key highlight of the visit will be discussions on finalizing the much-anticipated Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the UK.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed details of the visit, stating that PM Modi will also meet King Charles III and engage with top business leaders from both nations. Talks are expected to cover a wide range of topics including economic cooperation, innovation, climate change, education, public health, and counter-terrorism—particularly the presence of Khalistani extremists in the UK.

This visit will also review the progress of the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties across trade, technology, security, and people-to-people connections.
