Hemant Dwivedi, President of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), visited Sonprayag to assess the landslide-affected area along the Sonprayag-Gaurikund pedestrian route. During the inspection, he directed the district administration to expedite restoration of the Kedarnath Yatra route and instructed SDRF and NDRF teams to assist pilgrims effectively.
Apart from reviewing the damaged route, Dwivedi interacted with pilgrims and inquired about their well-being. He urged them to plan their journey based on accurate weather forecasts to ensure safety. BKTC Vice President Vijay Kaprawan and senior member Posti accompanied him during the visit.
