Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the Hindi film The Sabarmati Report, based on the 2002 Godhra Sabarmati Express tragedy, will be made tax-free in Uttarakhand. The announcement was made during the Chief Minister’s visit to a mall in Hathibarkala on Sunday, where he attended a screening of the film.
The Chief Minister praised the film’s impactful storytelling, which sheds light on an important historical event. Actor Vikrant Massey, who plays a pivotal role in the film, was also present during the event. Earlier in the day, Vikrant Massey paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister at his residence.

The event also witnessed the presence of prominent figures, including Cabinet Ministers Premchand Aggarwal, Ganesh Joshi, and Subodh Uniyal; BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt; Lok Sabha MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah; and MLAs Khajan Das, Umesh Sharma Kau, Sahdev Singh Pundir, and Savita Kapoor, along with other public representatives.
