The Uttarakhand government has issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure the safety of government officials, teachers and employees across the state. The move comes in the wake of the recent assault incident involving the Director of Education, after which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed officials to frame clear security guidelines.

According to officials, the SOP outlines measures to prevent misconduct, intimidation and physical assault inside government offices and educational institutions. Departments have been instructed to strengthen security arrangements and ensure that officials can perform their duties without fear or pressure.
