Under the AIIMS Rishikesh initiative, as per the directives of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a special honor ceremony was organized to celebrate contributions to public health and cleanliness in “Swachhta Hi Sewa” Campaign 4.0 and “Karmyogi Week.” AIIMS Rishikesh’s Executive Director, Professor Dr. Meenu Singh, highlighted the importance of making cleanliness an integral part of daily life and praised the dedication of the sanitation workers, urging them to maintain AIIMS with the same dedication as their own homes. The event underscored the importance of sustainable practices and institutional growth.

Academic Dean Professor Dr. Jaya Chaturvedi praised the employees’ collective efforts, noting that both AIIMS Delhi and AIIMS Rishikesh were recognized by the government for exceptional cleanliness standards. During the campaign, various programs like cleanliness drives, a mega-cleaning campaign, and creative competitions were conducted to foster community awareness on cleanliness.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Mittal emphasized health checks for sanitation workers and shared that the institute generated over 200 ABHA IDs and 50 Ayushman Bharat cards for its sanitation staff, prioritizing their health. Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Pooja Bhadoria detailed the achievements of the campaign, which included events like sanitation parades, mega-cleaning drives, and tree-planting activities.

The ceremony also honored notable sanitation workers and healthcare professionals, with 100 individuals recognized for their commitment to health and sanitation. Key dignitaries, including Dr. Jaya Chaturvedi, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Mittal, Dr. Pooja Bhadoria, Lt. Col. Rajesh Juyal, and other prominent officials, played vital roles in the program. The leadership at AIIMS Rishikesh commended the collective efforts that contribute to a healthier nation, with the institute playing an important role in promoting “Swachh Bharat” values.
