The CBSE North Zone Championship was held at DPS Ranipur, Haridwar, from 11 to 14 August, featuring various swimming events including breaststroke 50m, 100m, 200m, and individual medley 100m and 200m. Talented athletes from across NCR showcased their skills and secured spots for the upcoming national competition.
In the under-14 category, Neel Tripathi from DPSG Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, claimed three gold medals in breaststroke 50m, 100m, and 200m, along with a silver in the 200m IM. Om Tyagi of Khaitan Public School won two gold medals, while Adnyat Nandi secured three silvers. Arjun Chaudhary bagged two golds in relay events. Several other Ghaziabad players also delivered impressive performances in different categories.
DPSG Vasundhara Principal Vinod Kumar praised Neel Tripathi for his exceptional performance, stating that he has brought pride to both the school and Ghaziabad. Neel will now represent North Zone 1 in the CBSE National Swimming Championship.
