Char Dham Yatra Begins April 30, Permissions To Run Bhandaras

Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple

The Char Dham Yatra is set to begin from April 30, and in preparation, the Municipal Corporation has urged social and religious organizations to obtain prior permission for organizing bhandaras (free food distribution) for pilgrims. Interested groups can contact the municipal authorities to secure the required approvals.

Municipal Commissioner Shailendra Negi stated that a large influx of pilgrims is expected this year. To support them, free bhandara operations will be permitted at transit camps, ISBT premises in Rishikesh, and designated parking areas from April 27 to June 30. Organizations wishing to operate bhandaras can contact Assistant Municipal Commissioner Ramesh Singh Rawat at 7017679591 or Junior Engineer Vinod Purohit at 8923163390.

The administration will provide free arrangements for tents, barricading, drinking water, police security, and volunteers at the designated bhandara and transit sites.
