Heightened Security Along China-Nepal Border After Operation Sindoor

Following the success of Operation Sindoor, security has been tightened along India’s borders with China and Nepal. The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and local police are jointly conducting surveillance and patrols in the border areas to track any suspicious activity. Patrolling was carried out along the Kali River in regions like Dharchula, Jhulaghat, Baluwakot, Jauljibi, and Askot. Authorities are verifying the identities of outsiders and closely monitoring all movements near the international border.

SSP Rekha Yadav confirmed that both SSB and the police are on high alert, and current conditions along the border remain normal. This security reinforcement comes after the Indian Army’s successful air strike in Pakistan, conducted in response to the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam where tourists were killed based on their identities.

Meanwhile, political voices have also begun to express support. In Banbasa, Congress state secretary Anand Singh Mahra appreciated the Indian Army’s precision in executing Operation Sindoor and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership. He called the Pahalgam attack a cowardly act by Pakistan-backed terrorists and urged the government to remain vigilant against future threats.

In Champawat, traders welcomed the strike, with Trade Union President Vikas Sah stating that it’s time to give Pakistan a firm response. He called Pakistan a haven for terrorists and demanded stronger retaliation if they fail to learn from Operation Sindoor.
