Dehradun: All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary (Organisation) K. C. Venugopal arrived in Dehradun on Thursday for a two-day visit aimed at reviewing the party’s organisational preparedness and election strategy in Uttarakhand. Senior Congress leaders welcomed him upon his arrival.
As part of his visit, Venugopal is holding a meeting with district and city Congress presidents. He will also interact with district- and block-level office bearers to assess the party’s grassroots organisation and strengthen its structure ahead of the upcoming Uttarakhand Assembly elections.
The discussions will focus on preparing a comprehensive electoral roadmap, reviewing organisational activities, and assessing the nationwide “Students’ Voice” campaign launched under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi over the paper leak issue.
Uttarakhand Congress President Ganesh Godiyal said the senior party leader will review organisational matters with state leaders and provide guidance on the party’s strategy for the upcoming elections. He added that the visit is expected to boost the morale of party office bearers and workers across the state.
