Dhami Cabinet Reshuffle Likely Soon: Speculation Over New Ministers Intensifies

After the resignation of Premchand Agarwal, a reshuffle in the Dhami cabinet is expected soon. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has forwarded Agarwal’s resignation to the Governor. Reports suggest that Dhami may visit Delhi to seek guidance from the central leadership regarding new appointments and potential changes. Unreliable Sources indicate that before the Dhami government completes three years, four new ministers could be inducted, and one existing minister may be removed. With Agarwal’s resignation, five cabinet positions are now vacant.

Several senior MLAs are being considered for ministerial positions, including Madan Kaushik, Bishan Singh Chufal, Banshidhar Bhagat, Khajan Das, and Arvind Pandey. Names from different regions are also in discussion:

  • Haridwar: Madan Kaushik, Aadesh Chauhan, Vinod Chamoli
  • Tehri: Munna Singh Chauhan, Sahdev Pundir, Umesh Sharma Kau
  • Nainital & Udham Singh Nagar: Arvind Pandey, Shiv Arora
  • Kumaon: Bishan Singh Chufal

Additionally, there is speculation about Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan being inducted into the cabinet, with a senior leader from Garhwal possibly taking over as Speaker. While political discussions are heating up, CM Dhami has yet to comment on the reshuffle. All eyes are now on his potential Delhi visit and the central leadership’s decision.
