Golden Temple Was Targeted by Pakistani Missiles and Drones

In a shocking revelation, the Indian Army disclosed that Pakistan had targeted the Golden Temple in Amritsar using missiles and drones, which were successfully intercepted and destroyed by India’s air defence systems. A demonstration video released by the Western Command of the Indian Army highlighted how the Akash missile system played a crucial role in protecting the sacred site and nearby cities in Punjab.

The Army also showcased visuals of debris from Pakistani drones and missiles shot down in the region. According to Major General Kartik C. Seshadri, GOC of the 15 Infantry Division, “The world knows that the Pakistani army orchestrated the April 22 attack in Pahalgam by directing terrorists to attack unarmed tourists from India and abroad. In response, under India’s decisive leadership, Operation Sindoor was launched. Our strikes were precise, targeting only terror camps, with no collateral damage beyond that.”

The demonstration emphasized the robustness of India’s air defence readiness, especially in protecting key civilian and religious landmarks from cross-border threats. The targeting of the Golden Temple, a revered religious site, has further intensified the concern over Pakistan’s aggression.
