A man from Haryana died after drowning in the Yamuna River near Vikasnagar in Dehradun district. The incident occurred near the Sahastradhara area, triggering a prompt response from the police.
According to police, information about the incident was received from Constable Vikram of Purwala police station in Himachal Pradesh. He informed Kalsi police that a man had drowned in the Yamuna River. Acting swiftly, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Neeraj reached the government hospital in Vikasnagar, where the victim had already been taken by his family members.
Doctors at the hospital declared the man dead on arrival. The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Mandeep Kumar, son of Amar Singh, a resident of Jaguri village under Radaur police station in Yamunanagar district, Haryana.

Police have initiated legal formalities and are investigating the circumstances that led to the drowning. Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of the incident.
