A massive 7,000 km car rally organized under the leadership of the Indian Air Force and Uttarakhand War Memorial is on its way through Siachen, Leh, and Srinagar, and is expected to reach Dehradun on October 14. The rally is being led by former Rajya Sabha MP and Uttarakhand War Memorial Chairman, Tarun Vijay, along with Wing Commander Vijay Prakash Bhatt.
The rally features 32 Indian Air Force officers and two women officers from the Indian Army—Lieutenant Colonel Ashwani and Major Swati. According to former MP Tarun Vijay, this is the largest car rally in the history of the Indian Air Force. The rally will pass through Siachen and reach Leh, where it will be welcomed by the Lieutenant Governor before proceeding to Srinagar. In Srinagar, the national anthem will be performed at Lal Chowk. From there, the rally will head to Jammu before making its way to Dehradun.

Upon reaching Dehradun, the rally will be greeted by Sahaspur MLA Sahdev Singh Pundir. On October 15, the Uttarakhand War Memorial will host a reception for the rally, with local military organizations, prominent leaders from Uttarakhand, and students participating in the welcome event. A special band from the Indian Air Force will perform in memory of the martyrs.
On October 16, the rally will continue its journey, passing through Agra and Lucknow en route to Guwahati and Tawang. Group Captain Namit Rawat, a Dehradun native and in charge of the Indian Air Force’s All India Adventure Cell, is also part of this historic rally.
