Kejriwal Writes to EC Over Attacks on Workers Ahead of Elections

Ex-Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has written to the Election Commission (EC), alleging attacks on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers by BJP supporters. He claimed that Delhi Police has failed to take action against the perpetrators.

In his letter, Kejriwal listed four key demands:

  1. Independent observer for the New Delhi constituency.
  2. Security assurance for AAP workers.
  3. Immediate suspension of police officers failing to act.
  4. Arrest of BJP workers responsible for attacks.

Accusing the BJP of political violence, Kejriwal claimed the party is frustrated by AAP’s strong presence in Delhi. He also alleged that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed Delhi Police to shield BJP workers.
