Maha Kumbh 2025: AI Chatbot Enhances Convenience for Pilgrims

Prayagraj, January 2025 – To enhance the experience of millions of pilgrims visiting the Maha Kumbh 2025, an advanced AI-powered chatbot has been introduced. The chatbot assists users in locating nearby facilities such as parking, food courts, and hospitals within a 1-kilometer radius. It also provides detailed information about various Kumbh sectors along with Google Map links for easy navigation.

Pilgrims can access crucial facilities such as toilets, lost-and-found centers, banking services, exhibitions, and public water ATMs within seconds. By scanning a QR code, users can download information about major locations directly to their mobile devices. So far, millions have benefited from this innovative service.

Real-Time Translation with Bhashini App

To facilitate communication, the Bhashini app, a real-time language translation tool, has been integrated into the Maha Kumbh system. Supporting 11 languages, it provides instant text and voice translation, allowing pilgrims to report lost items or communicate with local authorities in their preferred language. Uttar Pradesh Police officials have undergone special training to utilize this feature effectively.

Government Initiative for a Seamless Kumbh Experience

Developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the AI chatbot and Bhashini app aim to enhance convenience and security during the grand event. These technologies play a pivotal role in improving pilgrims’ experience and ensuring a smooth and safe Kumbh Mela.
