In a major anti-Naxal operation, security forces eliminated 31 Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district. The encounter took place in the National Park area, a stronghold of Naxal activity. Over 650 security personnel participated in the operation, surrounding and targeting key Naxal hideouts. Two security personnel were martyred, while two others sustained injuries and were airlifted for medical treatment.
Security Forces Storm Naxal Bastion
Deputy Chief Minister and State Home Minister Vijay Sharma stated that the region was a safe haven for Naxals. He confirmed that all neutralized militants were in uniform, and a large cache of weapons was recovered. He emphasized that the operation was strategically planned and successfully executed.
CM Assures Naxal-Free Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed deep sorrow over the loss of soldiers, stating, “Their sacrifice will not go in vain.” He reaffirmed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah’s leadership, Chhattisgarh will be Naxal-free by March 2026.
The state is making significant strides towards eradicating Naxalism, and this operation marks a major success in the ongoing fight against insurgency. Security forces have once again demonstrated their commitment to restoring peace in Chhattisgarh.
