Chamoli, 10 Oct: Top industrialist Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, arrived in Uttarakhand this morning to pay obeisance at the sacred shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath. Upon reaching the holy sites, Ambani performed traditional rituals and offered prayers for the nation’s peace, prosperity, and well-being.
According to a post on social media by the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee, the committee’s chairman, Hemant Dwivedi, honoured Ambani by presenting him with a traditional pahari cap and a tulsi garland. During his visit, Ambani appreciated the arrangements being made for the Char Dham Yatra under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, as well as the ongoing development works in the State.
It may be recalled that the Ambani family has long shared a deep spiritual connection with the twin Himalayan shrines of Lord Badri Vishal and Baba Kedarnath. Every year, members of the family visit both temples to offer prayers and make generous donations. Continuing this tradition, Mukesh Ambani has contributed a donation of Rs 10 crore to the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee this year—double the amount given in previous years.
The Temple Committee today stated that the donation will be utilised for the beautification of the temple premises, enhancement of pilgrim amenities, and preservation of the religious heritage of the two revered shrines. Expressing gratitude, the temple committee extended heartfelt thanks to Ambani and his family and prayed to Lord Badri Vishal and Baba Kedarnath to bless the Ambani family with continued prosperity and well-being.
