The final weekend of the summer tourism season brought a large influx of visitors to Nainital, with more than 8,000 tourists arriving despite intermittent rainfall. Hotels witnessed heavy occupancy, while parking facilities remained packed as tourists continued to visit the hill station before the onset of the monsoon season.

Although rain affected sightseeing activities throughout the day, tourist footfall remained strong. Local tourism stakeholders said the number of visitors could have been even higher if weather conditions had remained favourable.

Many tourists who had checked into hotels extended their stay briefly before returning home, while several one-day visitors cut short their trips due to continuous spells of rain. Even so, the town maintained its lively atmosphere throughout the weekend.

Popular attractions, including Snow View, Himalaya Darshan and nearby waterfalls, witnessed a steady flow of visitors. The Cave Garden and the zoo also attracted large crowds, with tourists exploring the caves and observing wildlife despite the rainy weather.

Boating on Naini Lake continued intermittently whenever weather conditions permitted, while the Mall Road remained bustling with visitors throughout the day. According to data from the Lake Bridge toll point on Mall Road, around 1,000 vehicles entered Nainital during the weekend, bringing more than 8,000 tourists to the town.
