The 38th National Games will be held in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14, 2025. The full schedule of the event will be released on October 25, 2024, during the general assembly meeting of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). Along with the National Games, the Winter National Games will also be hosted in Uttarakhand.
On Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met IOA President Dr. P.T. Usha in New Delhi and expressed gratitude for granting Uttarakhand the responsibility to host the 38th National Games. The Chief Minister also invited Dr. Usha to visit the sacred sites of Badrinath and Kedarnath.
Grand Event Preparation
Chief Minister Dhami stated that Uttarakhand is fully prepared to host the National Games. Significant infrastructure has already been developed to support the event. He emphasized that the games will be conducted in a grand manner, and the state will learn from the experiences of other states that have previously hosted the National Games to ensure a successful event.
He also highlighted the aim to make the Uttarakhand edition of the National Games even better than previous ones. The state plans to offer excellent facilities to athletes and visitors from across the country.
Additionally, the Chief Minister noted that hosting the National Games will boost the morale of Uttarakhand’s citizens and athletes. It will provide a significant platform for the state to showcase its capabilities in organizing large-scale events.
