Delhi government minister Pravesh Verma inspected the ongoing development work on Rohtak Road on Saturday and reiterated the government’s commitment to resolving infrastructure issues. He assured that there would be no compromise on road quality, and strict action would be taken against any lapses.
Verma announced that Rohtak Road, from Tikri Border to Peeragarhi Chowk, will be transferred to the NHAI. Currently, the PWD and Flood Control Department are working on drainage and other infrastructure, after which NHAI will begin road construction. He emphasized that poor roads contribute to air pollution, making high-quality road construction a priority.
He acknowledged challenges due to the IGL pipeline and metro stations, stating that a joint meeting with concerned departments would be held to resolve these issues. Verma assured that the project would be completed within the stipulated time frame.
