PM Modi Interacts with NCC Cadets Ahead of Republic Day Parade

New Delhi, January 25, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, tableau artists, performers from the National School of Drama, and tribal guests as part of the preparations for Republic Day. The interaction took place at the Prime Minister’s residence on Lok Kalyan Marg, with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also in attendance. PM Modi praised the participants for their dedication and enthusiasm.

The Republic Day Parade will commence on January 26 with PM Modi laying a wreath at the National War Memorial. Following this, President Droupadi Murmu will arrive at Kartavya Path in a special buggy to receive the ceremonial salute, officially marking the start of the parade. The event will feature members of the armed forces, paramilitary forces, auxiliary civilian services, NCC cadets, and NSS volunteers.

The parade will begin with a cultural performance featuring 300 artists playing traditional instruments, followed by a march past by contingents of the Indian Armed Forces and a 352-member Indonesian delegation. This year, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will be the chief guest at the celebrations.

Over 5,000 performers will showcase 45 different dance forms during the event, with cultural displays lining the entire Kartavya Path to provide an immersive experience for all attendees. For the first time, a tri-service tableau representing the unity and joint efforts of the Indian Armed Forces will also be featured.
