Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttarakhand on January 28 to inaugurate the 38th National Games and announce several key initiatives for the state. He will lay the foundation stone for Uttarakhand’s first Sports University in Dehradun and a Women’s Sports College in Lohaghat, Champawat.
The Prime Minister will also review ongoing central projects, including the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line, Kedarnath-Badrinath redevelopment works, and the Dehradun-Delhi Expressway. Preparations for his visit are in full swing, with intensified efforts at the Maharana Pratap Sports College, where multiple meetings have been held.
Sports Minister Rekha Arya expressed hopes that these significant projects will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister himself. Special Principal Secretary Amit Sinha confirmed that all arrangements for the National Games and PM’s visit are being finalized.
