EAM Jaishankar to Visit France, Belgium & EU For Strategic Talks

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will embark on a seven-day official visit to France, Belgium, and the European Union from June 8 to 14. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and engage in strategic discussions with senior leadership and Indian diaspora across these nations.

During his visit to France, EAM Jaishankar will hold bilateral talks with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot. He will also interact with senior French leadership, think tanks, and media representatives. Notably, Jaishankar will participate in the inaugural session of the Mediterranean edition of the Raisina Dialogue in Marseille. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the India-France strategic partnership, built on mutual trust, shared values, and cooperation on regional and global issues.

In Belgium, Jaishankar will hold discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxim Prévot and engage with Belgian leadership on bilateral matters. He is also scheduled to meet with members of the Indian community during his stay.

The External Affairs Minister will also engage in a strategic dialogue with the European Union’s High Representative and Vice President Kaja Kallas. He will meet with senior leaders from the European Commission and the European Parliament and interact with policy think tanks and the press to discuss common geopolitical interests.
