The Uttarakhand State Employees Joint Council has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the state government and top administrative officials for issuing a government order on the new promotion relaxation policy. This decision follows the approval granted during the state cabinet meeting on March 3, fulfilling a long-standing demand of state employees.
According to Arun Pandey, the council’s president, and Shakti Prasad Bhatt, the general secretary, the newly approved policy will provide state employees the opportunity to benefit from a one-time promotion relaxation during their service period. This is expected to benefit thousands of government personnel across Uttarakhand.
The council leaders emphasized that they had been advocating for this policy for a long time. Although a verbal agreement on the proposal was reached about a year ago, administrative reasons delayed its final approval. With the cabinet’s nod and the subsequent issuance of the government order, employees have welcomed the move with great enthusiasm.
