Amid the widespread destruction caused by heavy rains in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took charge on the ground. He visited the State Emergency Operation Center at the Secretariat to assess the situation and reviewed the damages reported from Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, and other districts.
CM Dhami interacted with district officials and directed them to accelerate relief and rescue operations. He emphasized ensuring the availability of food, medicines, and shelter for stranded pilgrims, and issued orders to quickly clear blocked roads.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the aftermath of the cloudburst in Uttarkashi, instructing all district administrations to remain on high alert mode and act swiftly to minimize further risk to life and property.
