Uttarakhand Government to Provide Free Coaching for Medical, Engineering & CLAT Aspirants

The Uttarakhand government is set to offer free coaching for NEET, JEE, and CLAT aspirants from government and aided schools. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is being finalized with reputed coaching institutes. According to Higher Education Director Dr. Anju Agarwal, the proposal is ready, and the initiative will begin in the new academic session. Students of classes 11 and 12 will receive coaching at residential Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Schools, which will be designated as Centers of Excellence. Admission to the program will be based on a coaching entrance exam.

Coaching Structure & Seats Allocation

  • IIT-JEE: 300 students
  • NEET: 300 students
  • CLAT: 300 students
  • Coaching will be conducted offline from 5 PM to 7 PM on weekdays.

The initiative will support students for up to two years, with additional handholding sessions after course completion. Class 12 graduates will get one-year coaching and extended guidance.

Renowned coaching institutes have already presented their proposals to the education department. The MoU process is in progress to finalize service terms and facilities.
