Uttarakhand Panchayat Election Results Tomorrow; Fate of 32,580 Candidates to Be Revealed

The results of the Uttarakhand three-tier panchayat elections will be declared on July 31, deciding the fate of 32,580 candidates. The State Election Commission has completed preparations, and counting centres have been set up across all districts. For the first time, results will also be available online through the commission’s official website.

In the second phase of voting, despite heavy rainfall in several hilly districts, voter turnout remained high, recording an overall participation of 70%. Among the voters, 65.50% were men and 74.50% were women. Voting took place at 4,709 polling stations across 40 development blocks with over 21.57 lakh registered voters.

Even in areas affected by rain, voter enthusiasm remained strong, with large turnouts at many booths. High polling was also seen in plains districts like Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar. State Election Commissioner Sushil Kumar confirmed that voting was conducted peacefully in all blocks.

A total of 17,829 candidates from the first phase and 14,751 from the second phase now await the results. Counting will begin at 8 AM on July 31. While the 2019 panchayat elections saw a 69.59% turnout, this year’s figure is expected to be slightly lower.
