Gopeshwar: An emotional farewell ceremony in Bura village left the entire village in tears as students bid goodbye to their beloved teacher Narendra Singh Chauhan following his transfer after promotion.
The farewell at the Government Primary School in the village saw heart-touching scenes, with children breaking down and hugging their teacher. Many students were unable to control their emotions, and the atmosphere turned deeply emotional, moving even the villagers present at the event.
During the ceremony, students and villagers honored their teacher with garlands and took out a procession across the village. Accompanied by traditional music and band, Chauhan was made to ride a horse as a mark of respect, while slogans were raised in his honor.
Villagers said that in his three-year tenure, Narendra Singh Chauhan significantly improved both the academic environment and overall functioning of the school. He encouraged students not only in studies but also in sports and cultural activities, helping build confidence and a positive outlook among them.
Teacher Surbhi Shyam stated that Chauhan set an example by delivering quality education despite limited resources and always worked with a spirit of unity.
Overwhelmed by the farewell, Chauhan said the love and respect he received would remain the greatest asset of his life. He added that he would carry these memories forward and strive to perform even better at his new posting.
