Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital to formally invite him to the upcoming National Games in the state. As a token of Uttarakhand’s cultural heritage, CM Dhami presented the Prime Minister with a shawl from Malari, Chamoli, and a replica of the Narayan Ashram.
During the meeting, CM Dhami expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister’s support and guidance in advancing the state’s development projects. He briefed PM Modi on the progress of significant initiatives, including the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Railway Project, which is advancing swiftly, and the completion of the survey for the Tanakpur-Bageshwar Railway Project. Dhami requested central approval for the latter and sought full funding from the central government.
The Chief Minister also proposed operational changes for Rishikesh’s old railway station, suggesting that all train services be shifted to the Yog Nagri Railway Station.
