CM Residence Security Upgraded with ₹21 Crore Modernization Plan

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has approved ₹21 crore to enhance the security of the Chief Minister’s residence and surrounding areas. This upgrade includes the installation of advanced equipment like boom barriers, tire killers, shallow road blockers, and a public address system. The initiative aims to bolster security at 5, Kalidas Marg (CM residence), Rajiv Chowk, the route to the helipad, and other sensitive locations.

According to official orders, boom barriers and tire killers will be installed on the road leading to the CM residence, ensuring unauthorized vehicles cannot enter. Security devices will also be placed at entry and exit gates, with a barrier lift system planned between the residence and the Janata Darbar.

Additionally, boom barriers and shallow road blockers will be set up along the route from La Martiniere Chowk to the helipad, along with a vehicle entrance system. These measures align with efforts to secure other sensitive government buildings in the state capital.
