Khatima: A case of alleged honey trapping and extortion involving a paramilitary force jawan has surfaced in Udham Singh Nagar district. Police have registered an FIR against a woman from Telangana following court orders and started an investigation into the matter. According to the complaint filed in court by jawan Laxmana Pariga, who is posted near the Khatima-Nepal border, he came in contact with the woman through social media in March 2025.

The complainant alleged that after some time, the woman started pressuring him to divorce his wife and marry her. When he stopped communicating with her, she allegedly threatened to make video call recordings viral and demanded Rs 10 lakh in exchange for not circulating them. The jawan claimed he refused to pay the money and blocked the woman’s number. He further alleged that the woman later sent a complaint letter to his department accusing him of establishing relations with her during election duty in Telangana’s Warangal district in December 2023.

According to the complaint, the woman also sent a legal notice to his department despite him being on official duty. The jawan alleged that the woman was trying to extort money by trapping him in a honey trap case. He said he had earlier submitted a complaint to police on December 12, 2025, but no action was taken.
