Rudrapur: Tenant Found Dead Inside Locked House, Blood Seen From Nose and Mouth

Rudrapur: Sensation spread in the Krishna Vihar Colony area of Transit Camp after the body of a tenant was discovered inside a locked house on Wednesday evening. Police have sent the body for postmortem examination and launched an investigation to determine the cause of death.

According to police, 48-year-old Kamlesh Chandra Dubey, a native of Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh, had been living as a tenant in Krishna Vihar Colony for several years. Around 6:30 p.m., the police control room received information that he had not opened the door of his room for a long time.

Following the alert, Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kandpal reached the spot along with a police team and forensic field unit. The house owner, Deepak Pathak, and several local residents were present at the scene.

Body Found Lying on Floor

Neighbours told police that at around 5:30 p.m. they looked inside through the closed iron gate and saw Kamlesh lying face down on the floor of his room. Police subsequently opened the gate with the assistance of Dial-112 personnel and entered the premises.

During the inspection, officers found blood coming from the deceased’s nose and mouth. Injury marks were also noticed on his left knee. Police said a foul smell was emanating from the body, indicating that the death may have occurred some time earlier.

No Suspicious Material Recovered

Investigators did not find any suspicious object or material at the scene. Family members informed police that Kamlesh was addicted to alcohol. The incident has been reported to his wife, Anju Dubey, and other relatives.

Cause of Death Awaiting Postmortem Report

Vibhav Saini said the exact cause of death can only be confirmed after the postmortem report is received. Police are examining all possible angles and continuing their investigation.
