Devotees’ enthusiasm for the Chardham Yatra is at its peak, with all online slots for Badrinath and Kedarnath in May now fully booked. However, online registration slots for Gangotri and Yamunotri are still available. This year, the government has increased the Aadhaar-based online registration limit to 60 percent to accommodate more pilgrims.
In response to the rising number of devotees, the state government has also increased overall online registration capacity by 10 percent. For those unable to secure online slots, offline registration counters will open from 7 AM on April 28.
So far, over 20 lakh registrations have been completed: 6.82 lakh for Kedarnath, 6.01 lakh for Badrinath, 3.55 lakh for Gangotri, 3.24 lakh for Yamunotri, and 34,633 for Hemkund Sahib.
