The Chardham Yatra this year is witnessing enthusiastic participation across all age groups. As per the Tourism Department, 1,11,298 children in the 0–15 age group have already registered for the holy pilgrimage. In the 60+ age group, over 2.58 lakh senior citizens have completed their registration.
So far, the department’s website has recorded over 19 lakh online registrations, with the majority falling in the 20–70 age group. Notably, 62 pilgrims above the age of 90 have also registered, while 14,256 children under the age of 5 will be part of the Yatra.
Yatra registration nodal officer Yogendra Gangwar confirmed that the online registration process is running smoothly, and people from all age groups are actively participating. Offline registration will begin on April 28.
