Tahawwur Hussain Rana, an accused in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, is currently being interrogated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) following his extradition from the United States. The high-profile suspect is being questioned at the NIA headquarters in Delhi for 8 to 10 hours daily as investigators seek to uncover deeper details about the conspiracy and the involvement of Lashkar-e-Taiba in the attacks.
Sources indicate that Rana is cooperating with the interrogation team, which is led by Chief Investigating Officer Jaya Roy. Despite the intense questioning, Rana has made only three requests so far: a pen, a notepad, and a copy of the Quran—all of which have been provided.
He is being held in a high-security cell at the CGO Complex in Delhi, where round-the-clock security has been deployed. The agency is focusing on extracting critical links and previously undisclosed details about the terror network involved in the 26/11 attacks.
