55 New Asst Prof Appointed in Uttarakhand Higher Education

 

Dehradun, February 4, 2025 – The Uttarakhand Higher Education Department has appointed 55 new assistant professors selected through the State Public Service Commission. The newly appointed faculty members include 29 in Hindi and 26 in Chemistry. Out of these, 46 professors have been posted in remote and mountainous colleges, addressing the shortage of permanent faculty in these areas.

Since there were no vacant positions for Chemistry professors in mountain colleges, 11 professors have been temporarily assigned to the Higher Education Directorate in Haldwani. They will be transferred to mountain colleges as vacancies arise. This initiative is expected to enhance educational quality in difficult-to-access areas and improve faculty availability.
