Congress leader Supriya Shrinate arrived in Dehradun and addressed a press conference at the Congress Bhawan along with Pradesh Congress Committee President Ganesh Godiyal.
During the interaction with media, she strongly criticized the BJP government over the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, alleging that the ruling party has failed to genuinely empower women despite its claims. She questioned the intent and implementation of the legislation, stating that it does not effectively ensure representation for women from diverse social and economic backgrounds.

Shrinate further said that the opposition will continue to raise its voice on issues related to women’s rights and accountability of the government. The press conference focused on highlighting concerns around policy execution and political commitment toward women empowerment.
