Tension gripped authorities after an incident involving the entry of weapons at Jageshwar Dham in Almora, prompting swift action from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Taking the matter seriously, ASI officials have issued strict instructions to enforce security measures and regulations within the temple परिसर. As an immediate step, warning posters have been put up across temple premises, clearly stating that carrying weapons into religious sites is strictly prohibited.
Superintending Archaeologist Neeraj Maithani said the move aims to preserve the sanctity of the temple complex and strengthen safety arrangements for devotees and visitors.
The local administration has also been directed to remain alert to prevent any recurrence of such incidents. Meanwhile, new flex boards highlighting rules and restrictions are being prepared at printing presses and will be installed across the परिसर by April 22.
