Ram Mandir to Host Second Pran Pratishtha on June 5

After the consecration of Ram Lalla in his child form on January 22, 2024, the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is set for a second Pran Pratishtha ceremony. On June 5, Lord Ram will be consecrated in his royal form as Raja Ram on the first floor of the temple, accompanied by his brothers Lakshman, Bharat, and Shatrughan, along with Mata Janaki and Hanuman. Preparations for the grand event are in full swing at the temple.

Devotees arriving in Ayodhya are visibly enthusiastic. After witnessing Ram Lalla in his earlier form, they are now eagerly anticipating the installation of Raja Ram. Ayodhya SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover has confirmed that security arrangements are tight, with extra forces deployed across key locations to ensure smooth proceedings for all visitors.

In addition to Raja Ram’s darbar, idols in seven subsidiary temples will also be consecrated. These include:

  • A Shivling at the northeastern corner (Ishan Kon)
  • Lord Ganesha at the southeastern corner (Agni Kon)
  • Mahabali Hanuman at the middle of the southern wing
  • Surya Dev in the southwestern corner (Nairrit Kon)
  • Bhagwati Mata in the northwestern corner (Vayavya Kon)
  • Annapurna Mata in the middle of the northern wing
  • Sheshavatar statue in the southwest corner of the temple’s perimeter

The preparations mark the near-completion of the grand Ram Mandir. The earlier consecration ceremony, held before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, was attended by over 8,000 guests and led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This time, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be the chief guest. The June 5 event is seen as a symbolic conclusion to the construction journey that began after the historic Supreme Court verdict on August 5, 2020.
