During the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) retaliatory strikes in Operation Sindoor, six Pakistani fighter jets, a C-130 transport aircraft, and multiple other high-value assets were destroyed, according to a detailed analysis of the mission.
Sources involved in the operation told ANI that IAF confirmed the destruction of six Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets mid-air using advanced tracking data and radar systems. A high-value aerial platform—possibly an Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) or an Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft—was reportedly targeted from a distance of around 300 km by an Indian Sudarshan long-range missile system.
Over the four-day conflict, the IAF launched multiple surface-to-air cruise missile attacks on Pakistan’s Bholari Airbase, destroying another AEW&C aircraft based on Swedish technology. Several fighter jets parked in hangars at the airbase were also possibly damaged, although Pakistan has not removed the debris, and ground-level losses remain unverified.
The IAF’s air defense systems and radars tracked the enemy jets until they disappeared from radar screens post-impact, strongly indicating their destruction. In addition, a Pakistani C-130 transport aircraft was downed by a drone strike over Punjab, further crippling PAF’s operational capabilities.
