Preparations for the Char Dham Yatra have intensified in Herbertpur, with a registration counter now set to open in Vikasnagar for pilgrims’ convenience. To enhance comfort at the Herbertpur interstate bus terminal, German hangars are being installed to protect travelers from the sun, along with arrangements for mats and coolers in the waiting area.
Addressing last year’s complaints, authorities are installing two permanent water tanks with a 25,000-liter capacity each, and are constructing additional toilets to meet demand. ADM K.K. Mishra recently held a review meeting with officials, while local MLA Munna Singh Chauhan instructed teams to complete all preparations on time. The Garhwal Commissioner has directed that all arrangements be finalized by April 27.
