Terrorist Attack in Pahalgam: 2 Tourists Killed, 21 Injured

Two tourists lost their lives and 21 others were injured in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, on Sunday. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. In response to the incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah immediately left for Kashmir to review the situation on the ground.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned the attack, calling it a heinous act and assuring the nation that the perpetrators would not be spared. He also extended his condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi termed the attack as cowardly and heartbreaking, urging the Centre to take firm and lasting steps for peace in Jammu & Kashmir.

National Conference leader Arjun Singh Raju remarked that targeting tourism is an attack on the nation’s economy and called for a decisive response to Pakistan in its own language.
