Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Uttarakhand for a three-day visit, expressing concerns over rural migration and abandoned farmlands. While attending an event at Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Government College, Vithyani, he interacted with locals and was seen playing with a child.
CM Yogi, in Uttarakhand to attend his niece’s wedding, also participated in several public programs. He urged locals to engage in agriculture and livestock farming to curb migration, stating that depopulation of border villages poses a national security risk. He also emphasized self-reliance and de-addiction to make Uttarakhand one of the best states in India.
On the first day of his visit, he paid tribute to Brahmalin Mahant Avaidyanath Maharaj, unveiled a 100-feet-high tricolor at Anand Singh Bisht Memorial Park, and inaugurated a two-day farmers’ fair. Additionally, he released the Goraksh magazine of the college.
