Patna: Demonstrations are ongoing in Patna against alleged irregularities and corruption in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 70th Prelims Exam. Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor has begun an indefinite hunger strike at Gandhi Maidan under the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, with today marking the second day of his protest. Hundreds of aspirants have joined him, raising slogans demanding a re-examination.

Prashant Kishor outlined five key demands for reforms in BPSC and Bihar’s education system:
- High-level investigation and re-examination for the 70th BPSC exam irregularities.
- Implementation of unemployment allowances promised under the 2015 “Saat Nischay” scheme.
- A white paper on exam paper leaks and irregularities in competitive examinations.
- Strict action against officials involved in anti-democratic practices.
- Domicile policy ensuring two-thirds reservation for Bihar’s youth in government jobs.
The movement has drawn significant attention, with aspirants and activists joining forces to demand accountability and transparency in the recruitment process.
