In Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, security forces killed five terrorists during an encounter. The incident took place in the Kaddar area following reports of suspected terrorist activity.
According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, security forces launched a search operation in the Behibagh area on Wednesday night after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists. When the terrorists found themselves surrounded, they opened fire, prompting retaliation from security forces.
Officials confirmed that the bodies of five terrorists were spotted but are yet to be retrieved. Meanwhile, two soldiers sustained injuries and were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
